Results Of The 1st Melaka Dancesport Championships 2009



Thailand showed her prowess in dancesport by winning several events at the 1st Melaka Dancesport Championships 2009 held on June 14 at the Sekolah Menegah Pay Fong, Melaka. Thai competitors clinched the first 3 placings in the Grade A Open Latin event and took first and third positions in the Grade A Open Standard. To add to their haul, Thailand also grabbed the first 3 spots in the Junior Under-16 Standard event and first place in the Juvenile Under-12 Latin. Guest performers and SEA Games gold medallist winners Wachanakorn & M L Warapan from Thailand, put on a scintillating display of Latin showdance to add to Thailand's night of glory.

Here are the official results of some of the events of the 1st Melaka Dancesport Championships 2009 organized by YS Dancesport Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The results of the Grade A Closed events will be used by the Malaysian Dancesport Berhad (MDSB) as the national ranking for the 3rd Asian Indoor Games 2009 to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam and the 16th Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou, China.

It is our first competition in melaka all the way from the philippines.what a great competition experience we had.its properly organized the people competitors and staff are all friendly and sports.the accomodation of the coming competitors and preparations is nice.the first yes, but its the best so far among other competitions weve been through.thank you and more power to all of you!!! wilfredglenn n gilda
